Very nice cafe
A comfortable cafe furnished with natural light wood, brightness inducing windows and space serenity. The staff are friendly and welcoming like you get in a small village community rather than the towns where staff are less friendly to regular customers. Karolina newly joining the Barnyard crew, is efficient and you can see her barista past experience as she expertly makes coffees with speed. Joining from the chain cafe Starbucks, here she has much better job satisfaction working among good friends. She is a customers favourite, Karolina has excellent customer service skills. Lauren walks to work each day despite the barnyard cafe being really only accessible by car, yet arrives with such a happy countenance that you soon forget the wind and the rain outside that comes with the winter months. Julie in the kitchen always seems to be working, her red bandanna is the source of her energy we're sure! (like a Marvel superhero). It's nice to receive your plate from such a happy person and it's never too much trouble for her to return to the kitchen to bring you more ketchup or extra bacon! The food is good and although a set menu, the staff accommodate odd requests (Their bacon and eggs are highly recommended). The cream teas here are great. Some places have a tiny pot of clotted cream but here you have a slightly bigger pot. Plus the scones are freshly backed that morning and quite big. The fact that they are all different sizes is also a good sign (chain cafes have products that are identical). With a children's play area outside, your boy or girl can play on the swings while mum n dad enjoy their coffee and cake. Next door to the farm shop itself, there is plenty of good fresh meat, vegetables, bakery items and fruit. Where people make an effort for others, it is nice to help them in return.
Most enjoyable breakfast in relaxing setting with seasonal joviality
A lovely little farm cafe, right next to a nice farm shop, that is set back from the main road which makes you feel like you are in a more remote location. The cafe is a fantastic place to bring the family and relax. There is a lovely playground with swings, slides and a ride on digger. Staff were friendly, professional and polite. Service could have been a little faster but I guess that could be blamed on fussy customers in front of me. Price is a little steep with two cream teas coming to around 10+ the scones are big and you don't get a lot of jam and cream to spread. But all in all I left here with positive experience and will be back.
Many choices on the menu and very decent food. Very pleasant environment especially at non-peak with options of indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee and service!
