Stoped for a drink and had one of the best machiato I have had. The cafe was nice and cosy with good atmosphere and friendly staff. This encouraged me to then to order a tea cake which was a disappointment given the machiato. It was soggy, to much butter as ready buttered, and short on fruit. Some salads on adjacent tables looked nice but suspect it's a case of ordering the right food.
A disappointing visit. Firstly we waited almost 10 minutes for two coffees and a muffin to be brought to the table. Which ordinarily would have been reasonable but when there was just as many members of staff behind the counter as seated the delay seemed excessive. To add to this the muffin which was served was covered in obvious green mould patches which was very concerning considering my partner is pregnant and we were recommended by the baby scanning place across the road. We were offed another muffin as a resolution and told that they thought the green patches of mould was sugar but it wasnt worth the risk. Shame, but talking to other people who use the cafe it does appear to be a one off.
We were told off and asked to not come in again because we had water. She treated us like we were nothing due to the fact she pays for water and ice and we only had tap water, no ice. We would of payed if necessary for the water. She was extremely rude and disrespectful to us. Would not recommend, uncomfortable inviroment.Thank you for replying, however there must be a misunderstanding. I respect that nothing is free. We simply had water out of a tap. We wouldnt mind paying for it. The food in your restaurant is nice as I have eaten there before, however we feel that the situation could of been handled better. We dont know if this is because we were children? But we do understand that nothing is free and did not go in there to cause any inconveniences. Sorry if you felt that way.
I come here weekly and always want more! Bacon sandwiches are a MUST, love the tuna and sweet corn sandwiches, hot chocolate, salad! All amazing! Such good quality food and lovely staff. Definitely my favourite breakfast place
Love it here! Delicious food, good range as well (almost too much- I can never decide). We often come with our dogs and the staff are great with them. Never had a bad visit.
