I grew up in the East End and ate Pie 'n' Mash in Kelly's, Cook's, Robins, Manzies and Bow Road and still go back, as often as possible. The pies in Konch's are not worthy of the title, East End Pie and Mash. The pastry is too thick, the mince has no flavour. The mash and liquor are the only things worth this 3 star rating. Sorry but, these pies are not the same as the pies, in real East End Pie and Mash. Had to be said.

Staff are friendly place is clean food is good and hot prices are easily affordable. I will be making konchs cafe a regular hangout.

Popped into this place on a cold Saturday afternoon and had a delicious portion of pie and mash with a lovely cup of tea. The liquor was also very tasty. After having a late lunch here I was warmed up and of course pleasantly stuffed. I will definitely return for pie and mash. Top marks!!!
