Great place for all sorts of outdoor exploring, the cafe has also improved immensely. Only negatives: Parking prices are simply extortionate (this has resulted in many parking on the periphery, damaging the verges). Also dog ownership locally is currently trendy, not great during weekends if you want to enjoy the bridleways on horse or bike simply due to the sheer volume of pooches off the lead. Cafe has improved, if they could plan better for peak demand (not run out of food!) they'd make a lot more money!

Really good looking place. It's kept with as little human impact possible as well and I really enjoyed walking around. Great place for walking dogs, and good for photography as well. Really clean and also 2 parking lots with reasonable charges (pay and display/cards accepted).

Okay, at the end of the day, it is a fairly large woodland area, with a small shop and cafe. Great for walking...very dog friendly..but the car park fees...I mean, seriously? Newly introduced since we last visited, but not cheap. 4 for a couple of hours.

Lovely woody walks filled with wildlife. Though toilets left a lot to be desired, decided to cross my legs until I got home. Also, shame about the amount of litter on the approaching roads. Sort it out Brentwood council or whoever is responsible, though ultimately its the public need to get their act together.

It is a lovely park to walk around and the Gruffalo hunt is enjoyable for children. The outdoor picnic areas are perfect for any weather. As with any country park I would recommend wearing wellies and appropriate clothing during wet weather. It would benefit from more play structures for children as they do get bored quite quickly.
