Following a visit on Sat 02/02/2019, for Afternoon Tea, for a celebration for my parents.I can say, the atmosphere and food was very pleasant and the staff were quite attentive to our enjoyment of the afternoon and nothing was too much trouble.Also, if anyone has Coeliac Disease and is on a strict Gluten Free diet - they can cater for you, too - just need enough notice.With pleasant surroundings I look forward to returning there and trying their restaurant service.Would definitely return there again and recommend.
We had our wedding reception at MGM in Nov 2016 in the Henry VIII suite and stayed in one of the more modern rooms. The staff were wonderful! Very attentive and helpful and the day went so smoothly! It was a special day! The food was lovely, the setting was lovely! We chose it especially for the medieval theme and surroundings! very quirky but comfortable! A special thank you to Annette and team who made it all possible! We have wonderful memories! Thank you, Maria and Karen.
Stayed one night and we were pleasantly surprised both at the age and historic nature of the building, and the spaciousness of the rooms. Service was very good. The decor and furnishings were rather tired but still acceptable. Bathroom comfortable. Bar meals were reasonably priced and tasty, drinks not too expensive. Location is a short taxi ride from the town centre. Happy to stay there again if we come back this way.
This is without a doubt on of the best hotels I have visited. The place is warm and cosy. The lounge and bar area are so comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The food is exceptional especially the poached eggs. I have had dinner here a few times too and the portions are very generous. I wouldnt recommend anywhere else in Brentwood. The garden is also nice and picturesque. The car park is also a decent size.
Superb Restaurant in Wonderful surroundings. The Staff are Incredibly Friendly and Attentive and make you feel very Special. There is no other establishment to match this in Essex and is a favourite for so many for Dining or celebrating Special occasions. Highly recommended.
