Awful !. You can never get yourself sorted without administrative hindrance and a lot of frustration. Frontline staff are unhelpful. Everyone is only too eager to direct you to someone else and you get sent down the garden path. I am a hospital doctor myself and although I understand the strain on GPs and NHS as a whole BUT I don't buy the excuses for this practice.1)One time, I physically went there three times before I could get my prescription . Receptionist moaned that she had to check what was going on (?really and I was also pregnant)2) Healthy husband who never goes to GP. Went there one time with ear ache and was seen by practice nurse instead of doctor who dismissed him very quickly after spending 5 seconds looking into his ear. Often, you only get one chance with middle aged men before something serious is missed later. I had to take him to see ENT doctor privately the same evening.3) Needing physio referral for ankle issue. Locum GP can't seem to find a particular hospital through choose and book. Referral letter never arrived. Left in the cold again trying to ring secretaries etc etc. It was nobody's responsibility it seems. That was 3 weeks wasted (more coming) of nothing happening.

Before I start, I would like to say I'm sure the Doctors and Nurses on staff are lovely, however I wouldn't know this seen as I have been ringing the surgery for weeks trying to book an appointment and every time I do, I get put straight through to voicemail and told that the surgery is now closed, even if I am ringing within their open hours (8am-6:30pm). I have been at university and once I came back they did easily put me back on to their lists, only to be told that if I wanted to book an appointment one wouldn't be available for a month. I shouldn't complain about this because if it is out of their control then that's not their fault, however I was at a point where I needed an appointment within a few weeks. Which was not available. My next problem is that I work Monday-Saturday, and the surgery is not open on Sundays. Now, they did say I could try another surgery that they're linked to, but only in emergency situations. My situation isn't an emergency, however I cannot book an appointment between Monday-Saturday and I'm not eligible for an emergency appointment, so there isn't really an option for me to book an appointment without taking a day off work, which I also do not want to do. Today I have tried AGAIN to ring and book an appointment. It is currently 15:33 (clearly within their opening hours) and I was put straight through to voicemail after the phone rang twice. Which to me means they are just not answering their calls, not that their line is busy, because it isn't even an option to be put into a queue. My only other option was to ring 111, which I did not want to do because I don't want to waste the NHS's time by ringing the help line which is meant for minor emergencies (not quite as severe to ring 999). Luckily they did answer, and they tried their best to help me, but it really wasn't within their power. However I was told to ring back in a few weeks if I am not able to get through to the Surgery so that they can provide me with the prescription I need. So I don't know what to do. Keep ringing and hope they will eventually change their ways and answer? Or just live my life without medical attention because nothing is "serious" and they can't be bothered to answer their phone and fit me in? Also just to finish, I've been trying to book this appointment since the 4th of September. Brilliant service! I've written this review in anger, and I'm sure there are some positive aspects to the surgery, I've just not been able to access them.

This review is based solely on the admin staff. They are rude, invasive and egotistical. Was asked over the phone what I wanted an appointment for and when I said I'd rather not say as it's personal I was told that I needed to give a reason or they couldn't book me an appointment. Speaking of appointments. In 2018 I really don't expect to be told there is no appointments for 3 weeks. And when I ask why the receptionist was rude and snapped at me "because your not the only sick person, now is that all?" Unbelievable. The doctors on the other hand are amazing( when you get a chance to see them) also writing this as on hold for 20 mins as today there's qeueing system doesn't seem to work .unless .

Lorraine in the treatment room is rude and incapable of her job. Ive now been forced to wait 2 months for treatment because of her mistake. No apologies. Absolutely disgusting service.

I have severe anxiety and depression and hadn't been to the surgery for a long time.Dr Dasari booked me in at 8.15am and was kindness and understanding personified which will make my next appt that little bit easier to get to.Going onto anti-depressants and referred for counselling.
