Very interesting to look around parking is good can be tricky to find
I was in the RAF as a part of a nuclear strike force at the height of the cold war so I have some understanding of what these places ment in the future of all living things. The consequences of this place being occupied is that all living things on the surface would be dead or dying from a massive nuclear strike from the Soviet UnionIn turn we would have done the same to them.MAD!!! Mutually Assured Destruction. The importance of this place and places like it in human history can not be understated.Unfortunately the bunker is not wheelchair accessible. You pay for the visit of the bunker at the end of the tour not at the entrance. It cost 7.50 to enter and is a place of great interest to visit.Highly recommended.
I enjoyed the displays. Takes me back a few years revealing just how close the cold war came to a very sticky situation.... Thank goodness it didn't!I@n B
Very interesting place, spent an hour here but could have spent probably another hour. I'd say its worth the money to wander round. We also did a ghost hunt thru night before which was very disappointing as absolutely nothing happened. What little did happen can easily be explained. From a ghost point I wouldn't recommend, but it is worth a visit during the day as it is very interesting.
Loved it here. Spent the night with our cub pack, 20 children. Was amazing to explore the whole site at our leisure. Was a sereal experience being underground with no real knowledge of night and day or the weather. Having the time announced on the hour every hour was interesting when asleep too :) would absolutely recommend for any groups thinking about a different kind of sleepover :) and as a member of the public to go visit.
