Love this place. I used to live in Essex and now visit a few times a year. Great music and atmosphere. Opens until 1am but shame it dont stay open later. 80s and dance music. Great place for over 35s.

We were invited to a private party here in the back of the pub / outside area. We enquired ahead of the night to see if we would be welcome to bring our 3 month old baby or whether we should get a babysitter. The manager, Donna, emailed us back saying that we would be very welcome to bring our baby. When there we were then told by the staff on duty that we would need to leave by 7pm. After showing them the message from the manager they then said we could stay until 8pm but said that we were bad parents for bringing a baby to a pub, despite that we were in a private area of the pub with our baby in a baby carrier on Dad's chest and ear protectors for if the music got loud (when we would have taken her outside too). Thoroughly disappointed that if we knew that our baby wouldn't be welcome then the grandparents could have looked after her, and the rudeness of the staff was totally uncalled for.
